Jennifer Claire
Jennifer Claire Hockford is a self-taught contemporary expressionism artist. She is well known for for her unique style of painting. She incorporates geometric shapes and patterns to her work giving her works of art a fresh and modern look.
The medium that she works with is acrylic on canvas. The main theme that she works with is color. Colors are very powerful when you are conveying thoughts and ideas. She frequently works with bright and contrasting colors. Much of her inspirations come from music, books and the local surrounding communities in upstate New York.
She began painting as a little girl in her grandmothers ceramic shop when she was four in a small town in upstate New York.
Jennifer Claire really started focusing on her artwork 2003. Up until that point she spent little time self reflecting until she met a dear friend of her's named Janice who is a talented artist herself. She saw her painting titled My Brother's Seattle and commented how much she enjoyed looking at it. She encouraged Jennifer Claire to paint more.
